The Sons of the Pioneers, formed in 1934, forever transformed cowboy music with their thrilling harmonies and poetic images of the West, and they still shoulder the standard for western music to this day. Founded by Roy Rogers (then known as Leonard Slye), Bob Nolan, and Tim Spencer, the band has remained together continuously since then, rotating a total of 47 members over the years.
